Come and experience all that 3rd Street Retreat offers during our open house and creative weekend featuring special workshops, art, home and hostess gifts to share in convivial gatherings during the holiday season and through the winter!
Hygge is a Danish term that is all about the lifestyle of creating conviial gatherings, coziness and contentment during the long and dark winter months. What a wonderful concept to explore in the Pacific Northwest during our grey months. How do we thrive through the winter?
For our open house, we will be open Thursday through Sunday from 11AM to 5PM. Come and enjoy curated fine art, home goods, and hostess gifts. Drink local, world class wines along with light nibbles. Learn and create with artists in their respective fields. Hygge with us at 3rd Street Retreat!

Françoise Weeks
Françoise’s studio is located in Portland, OR and her dynamic work has been featured in reknowned publications such as Nacre, Fusion Flowers, Modern Wedding Flowers, Huffington Post, Flutter and Milieu. Françiose has a new book, Wonder of the Woodlands, available for preorder and is our main feature on Saturday and Sunday.
Linda Workman-Morelli
Utilizing a variation of traditional methods that have been used globally for centuries, Linda has been making pit-fired clay works for the past four decades. No two pieces are alike and she is sharing her special pit fire process on the property for this event on Thursday and Friday. You don't want to miss this!
Amanda Bayha
Amanda creates arrangements with fresh and dried flowers, herbs, branches and other goodies found in Nature. We'll be celebrating another year of abundance and beauty with this framed botanical project at her workshop on Friday.
Kerrie Savage
Born out of a love for hitting crowded city streets or open country roads, Kerrie Savage's watercolor and ink series feature original paintings that capture popular northwest imagery in "plein air"
Paige Witte
As an accomplished garden designer, Paige developed 3rd Street Retreat as a place for learning, growing, rest and rejuvenation. Not only is she collaborating with all of our amazing creatives this weekend, she is facilitating a workshop and doing a demo too!
Michele Rosenbaum
Working primarily in painting and photography, Michele is an artist and creative collaborator. She has the honor and pleasure of working with Françoise Weeks workshop participants in creating special portraits of their fashion inspired botanical wearables.
Jen Wilcoxon
Jen has a blooming botanical business with Florawood and creates one of a kind container and floral designs using locally sourced plants and flowers. Her unique Paper White and Amaryllis planters make amazing holiday decor pieces or hostess gifts and will be offered all weekend!
Gérard Phillippon
Gérard Phillippon, a native of France, owns and operates a beautiful French garden decor shop in Portland. Bringing a bit of French style to our wine country, market and picnic baskets as well as luxury wine bottle openers will be for sale and make a perfect gift.
Holly Freres
As Design Principal at JHL Design, Holly has worked her magic on high end residential and commercial interiors for the past two decades. She has followed her wanderlust across the world and draws upon a deep well of creative inspiration from her travels as she shares some of her handmade discoveries from Mexico for our open house.
Catherine Haley Epstein
Catherine Haley Epstein is an interdisciplinary artist, award-winning author, designer and psychotherapist. As an artist she is unconstrained stylistically and explores imagination, curiosity and the unconscious in her work. For this weekend, she is sharing three of her Carnet brand scent candles as well as her book, Nose Dive.
Ali Lanenga
Ali's floral botanical photographs can be seen worldwide, from train stations in England to magazine spreads in Australia and luxury hotels in Boston. Come and see her new, finished masterworks on the walls of 3rd Street Retreat this weekend!
Wesley Younie
Lyra Freely
From LA Fashion Week to Portland Indie Films, Lyra does hair/makeup styling to support the artistic vision of a creative collaboration. She also offers makeup coaching that empowers individuals to confidently apply their own makeup. Lyra will be working with participants at Sunday's workshop with Françoise and Michele.
Augustina Cellars
A dream decades in the making, Augustina Cellars is the love child of best friends Diana Schultz and Lee McCollins. Diana and Lee met at a church camp in the mid-’90s and have been by each other’s sides ever since. This friendship was built on a foundation of compassion, service, and enjoying the good things in life, which continues to this day! We make wines that pair with home-cooked meals, good friends, and memory-making moments in time.
Weina Dinata
Weina started her native-plant inspired botanical design studio, Poppy & Finch, to bring awareness of the beauty and important role of native plants for our habitat in the urban landscape. She inspires people to garden ecologically through her living botanical arts, educational hands-on workshops, and creative botanical solutions for small-space gardening.

Ponzi Vineyards
Ponzi Vineyards continues to set the standard for Oregon's viticultural innovation while maintaining an unwavering commitment to a tradition of winemaking excellence. For more than 25 years, this philosophy was carried on by the Ponzi family's second generation. We will have wine from Ponzi Vineyards throughout the weekend.
Cliff Creek Cellars
Set in a refurbished Bank in Newberg, Oregon, their Willamette Valley tasting room is an easy walk from 3rd Street Retreat. Their Sam's Valley Vineyard is located just Northeast of Gold Hill and many of their wines are big, bold reds. Throughout the weekend, we will have their wines available.
