Winter/Holiday Cards in Watercolor with Kerrie Savage

Situated in the beautiful studio space of Newberg’s 3rd Street Retreat, this workshop will feature a brief intro to watercolor painting, mixing color, creating a wash, experimenting with techniques, and creating simple seasonal designs for the holidays. We will begin with introductions and the basics: mixing a three-color palette,  practicing with wet on wet techniques, and wet on dry techniques, and painting simple designs using layering techniques on practice watercolor paper.

The second half of the workshop will be devoted to creating a set of winter-themed cards. No previous watercolor experience is necessary; however, if you are an artist (I would argue we all are:) feel free to relax, be creative, and paint at your own pace.
